Expert employment lawyers at ius laboris, the leading alliance of specialist employment law, employee benefits and pensions law firms have analysed the status of age discrimination laws in 20 member states and expressed their expert opinion on the approach their courts would take in certain hypothetical cases. The survey was originally undertaken in May 2005 but was updated in January 2006.
Department for Work and Pensions report: A comparative review of international approaches to mandatory retirement
The DWP prepared a report in 2010 summarising the various mandatory retirement law in operation across the world, as well as the pros and cons that have come from abolishing these laws.
